Dr. Trent and his family are from New Mexico where he also did his undergraduate studies at NMSU. He is the youngest of six children and was raised a Southern Baptist under the tutelage of his grandfather Darwin. Trent did his graduate work at USD and his doctoral work in Religious Studies with focuses in Christian Education and Theology at Trinity Theological Seminary. He came to VCC from his work through both in his radio ministry and his international missionary work. Over the last couple of years he has severed as head usher and a board member at VCC and has taught the congregation now numerous times as well as occasionally helping with counseling, prayer meetings, hospital visitations, and the like. Trent shared how he feels “doubly blessed by having both such a supportive, loving family (his wife Jacquie and infant son Isaiah) and so many honorable God-fearing men to study under.” He hopes to have a powerful and long-lasting effect on VCC.
