A Message from the Pastor

Valley Community Chapel is the essence of a community church, providing ever-expanding services for its members and others in our neighborhood. When you walk through the doors, you immediately understand what is meant by a family environment. The nursery is full of little ones, the Sunday school is buzzing with children of all ages, the adults fellowship with one another over coffee and homemade snacks, and a variety of volunteers are doing what God has called them to do – serve in His house by using the gifts He has given them to help grow the Kingdom. Once you get settled, you’ll notice that we offer something for everyone, from a strong foundation in worship and biblical education, to the joy of music, to a commitment to community and global outreach. Our members are involved in a variety of ministries that provide opportunities to participate in social activities, mission projects, family activities, Bible studies, and more.

Who We Are
Valley Community Chapel is an evangelical, non-denominational fellowship of believers. Our beginning was as a home fellowship, following the model of Acts 2:42:

And they continued steadfastly in the apostle’s doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

We believe the simple pattern outlined in Acts 2:42 provides a healthy model of what the church is primarily to be about. As is true of each believer, each church family will have specific and unique ministry areas. Yet foundational to our fellowship are the constant and unwavering commitment to prioritize these aspects of church body life.

Apostle’s Teaching: (2 Tim 3:16) The Bible is God’s Word. We teach cover to cover, book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse through the Bible, consistently.

Fellowship: (John 13:34-35) The mark of disciples of Jesus Christ is love one to another. We encourage spending time with each other, praying for one another, and assisting one another as brothers and sisters. In other words, “doing life together” is our motto.

Breaking of Bread: (Luke 22:17-20) Communion (along with baptism), is an important element in our spiritual life. We provide times each month to reflect, remember, and rejoice in the body and blood of our Savior.

Prayers: (Luke 18:1) “Pray Always!” said Jesus. We are committed to regular times of prayer for thanksgiving, direction, supplication, and intercession. The best way to learn to pray is to pray!
