An armory is defined as, “A place where armor and arms are made and distributed for use.”
In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, chapter four, Paul declares that the gifts and people in the church were given by Jesus Christ, “for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” In chapter six, Paul tells believers to, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Clearly, God wants believers to be prepared for what is ahead of them! Whatever you do it’s important to have the right equipment and this is true spiritually too! God has given Christians His Word, His Holy Spirit and one another so we can live for Him. At the Soul Armory we want Christians to suit up and get prepared “for the work of the ministry” and to “Go into all the world preaching the gospel” starting with our neighborhood, city, and valley. If you’re around Jr. High or High School age come and join us at the Soul Armory and get equipped to live your life the way God wants you too!
It’s the goal of The Soul Armory that the nonbeliever would put their faith in Jesus Christ and that the believer would be equipped to live the life of a true disciple. We get this through meaningful interaction, fun, fellowship, worship, teaching and prayer.
We meet Sunday mornings at 11:00am and Wednesday nights at 6:30pm for fellowship, prayer, and studying the Word of God.
Sunday mornings the Soul Armory will be studying so we “may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We are currently studying through the Gospel according to Matthew. Join us for solid biblical teaching and down-to-earth life application to equip us for life, God’s way.
For our Wednesday evening study we slow down with more fun, fellowship and a deeper, even more interactive study into the book of Acts. Come armor up with us!
