Our staff Christmas party this year was a potluck feast and a time set aside for the school and church staff to relax together after a great year of ministry. Well, we didn’t relax the whole time. Take a look at some of these pictures to see what a truly zany evening it was: human Christmas trees, grown men on the floor wrapping presents, definitely a fun time for all!
For our December prayer coffee, we started off with prayer, as usual, and shared in a delicious potluck lunch. We also added a little holiday cheer by having a “white elephant” gift exchange. It was a lot of fun seeing what people brought from their homes to give as gifts. There were definitely some favorites – one being a beautiful scarf brought back from Afghanistan by James Bell! Some of us (author included) had to watch out for that ol’ covetous sin nature!
But truthfully, it was a wonderful way to end a year of deepening our relationships and growing in our prayer lives. We hope to see many more ladies join us next year!

Thanks to all those who made this quarter's Men's "Mercy" Seminar so great! For those of you who missed it, it was inspired. We started off the day with a standard time of fellowship. Thirty-eight guys from various churches in the community got together to share their achievements, the struggles, and the Word of God with each other. A special thanks to both Jeff and Tim who provided us with an inspiring time of music worship. There's nothing quite like a room resonating with the sound of men's voices raised up to the Lord!

It was truly a wild adventure at Valley Community Chapel as 150 kids and over 40 adults and teens joined us for this year’s vacation Bible school!
New friends were made and the love of God abounded as kids spent the day singing and dancing, playing games, making amazing crafts, eating lip-smacking snacks, and watching Bible stories be acted out in a fun and interactive way.
On the 4th day of the week, everybody learned how Jesus died and came back to life to be our Savior. We found out that “God loves us, no matter what”!
And all week long, crews brought in canned food items that were donated to the Way Station in Joshua Tree at our closing ceremony. The kids found out that God gives good gifts to us so we can reach out and give to those around us.
A BIG thank you to all the volunteers who made this outreach such an AMAZING time! And . . . THANK YOU GOD!

Seventy-one people came out on the Saturday before Valentines day to enjoy time with their VCC family. Class Act Catering, run by Don and Valerie Dean and their crew, set the stage for a wonderful evening of delicious food, great fellowship and fun. The room looked festive, with special decorations made by Juanita Dobyns, Sharalyn Morgan, Michele Braley, and MaryLou Fulkerson. We even had fountains flowing with pink and red punch and pink fudge on the tables!
The ladies at VCC declare . . . our trust is in the living God who always richly gives us all we need for our ENJOYMENT. 1 Tim 6:17 (TLB)

Once again, the team at VCC put together an exciting and wholesome alternative to Halloween that was fun for the whole family! Led by Mark and Michele Braley, over 50 volunteers came out on Sunday, 10/31, to man their stations at game booths, a giant slide and bounce house, a cake walk, food stations, a “dunk” tank, and more.
Over a period of 4 hours, hundreds of families from our community stopped by to enjoy all of these events in a safe and positive environment. It was definitely a great time for all. We are so grateful for all of the volunteers who gave their time to make this outreach such a wonderful success.
